Southern Cross Care (Tasmania) Inc. is excited to share that we have a new opportunity for a Full-time Resource Allocation Officer based at our State Office in New Town. The Resource Allocation Officer is responsible for coordinating and facilitating the administration of established rosters, ensuring shifts are filled and staffing levels maintained and optimised.


Key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Maintaining and updating rosters as advised by the Manager – Operations.
  • Assist in developing rosters that align with employee contracts and Enterprise Agreement provisions.
  • Proactively resolve rostering challenges and cover unplanned absences.
  • Daily communication with employees regarding roster changes and availability for shift coverage.
  • Leave planning.


What you’ll need:


  • Experience with a computerised rostering system (Optima highly regarded).
  • Sound written, verbal and numeracy skills.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Effective communication skills
  • Effective problem solving abilities.


Compliance requirements:

  • Satisfactory National Police Check within the last three years.
  • Tasmanian Working with vulnerable persons registration with NDIS endorsement
  • Valid Australian Working Rights.
