About the opportunity

The Manager Student Administration is a member of the Student Services leadership team. The role is responsible for the effective operation of student administration to support the activities of our students. This includes services such as graduations, exams, results, progressions and scheduling. The role collaborates across the University, requiring strong relationships with other areas to ensure integrated service delivery that supports student success.

What you’ll do:

  • Manage administration resources to improve the efficiency, consistency, connectedness of processes and the overall student experience.
  • Develop and maintain positive and productive relationships across the University to understand current and emerging needs in student administration, acting as the key conduit between stakeholders.
  • Lead the performance, quality and design of student administration services in close collaboration with systems teams to ensure efficient service delivery and policy adherence.
  • Proactively facilitate cross-discipline working groups with a focus on student outcomes and service improvement.
  • Identify, implement and review projects that improve student administration processes, aligning with university initiatives while ensuring operational requirements are met.­

What we’re looking for:

  • A degree-level qualification or an equivalent combination of relevant skills, training and experience in customer support or project management in a complex organisation, preferably higher education.
  • Ability to manage change and drive continuous improvement in customer-facing services.
  • Proven experience in planning and managing operations in a complex system environment.
  • Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving ability with the capacity to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated experience leading high-performing teams and cultivating a collaborative, student-focused culture.

Salary details

Appointment to this role will be at HEO 9 and will have a total remuneration package of up to $155,332 comprising base salary within the range of $125,959 to $132,762 plus 17% superannuation.
