Location: Southern Tasmania Occupation: Exercise Physiology Position Type: Full Time, Permanent, Part TimeLeap Health are looking for a passionate Exercise Physiologist to join the team across our various locations. They are looking for a full time Exercise Physiologist, but happy to negotiate hours for the right candidate. You will be exposed to a varied private practice caseload which may include: chronic disease management, sports Injuries, elite athletes, NDIS clients, DVA clients, home care package clients and work cover clients.
The Position
Leap Health is seeking a highly motivated, organised and enthusiastic team member who can perform the below responsibilities:
- Prevent, treat and manage health conditions (including diseases, disorders, traumas and injuries) including complex and chronic conditions.
- Improve and maintain health status and function.
- Work with both individuals and groups in a professional manner.
- Screen, assess and measure capacity and function for activities of daily living and work-related activities and to inform interventions.
You'll also prescribe, deliver, adapt and evaluate movement, physical activity, and exercise-based interventions to:
- Facilitate recovery and maximise independence
- Empower people to improve health outcomes and self-manage health conditions
- Coach and motivate to increase engagement and self-efficacy in treatment and physical activity, all whilst taking into consideration the client’s preferences, needs, barriers and goals.
Required Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology
- ESSA registration
- CPR and First Aid
Experience required?
This role would suit either a new graduate or an experienced clinician looking to stretch themselves in new ways. Leap Health have the ability to tailor the role, with senior clinician support/mentoring available or if you’re an experienced EP, you can hit the ground running working autonomously and with the team.
