About the role
BRIGHT (Bringing Responsive, Integrated Healthcare To our Community) is a multidisciplinary team that provides rapid assessment and acute care for patients whose complex care needs are unable to be met by primary care providers and would otherwise need to be managed in an emergency department. The pharmacist role is highly valued by the team and as part of the CALHN Integrated Care and CALHN Pharmacy teams you will play a key role in delivering optimal medication management services, combining your clinical expertise with a passion for excellence in patient care to ensure best possible outcomes for patients. As a trusted source of therapeutic and medication-related advice, you’ll work closely with medical, nursing, and allied health professionals, supporting patient care with evidence-based recommendations in line with hospital protocols and legislative frameworks. This is your opportunity to make a meaningful impact by shaping medication management strategies and participating in a team committed to excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement in patient care.

To succeed in this role, you will be a motivated and adaptable pharmacy professional who brings strong communication, technical capability, and a commitment to patient-centred care. You will thrive in a collaborative environment and demonstrate a proactive approach to delivering high-quality pharmaceutical services.

Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, work in a team, accept supervision, and liaise confidently with patients and healthcare professionals.
-
Proven capacity to work independently, apply sound initiative, and manage tasks with precision, strong organisation, and close attention to detail.
-
Completion of pre-registration training within a hospital or community setting, with sound knowledge of pharmacy practice, drug dispensing, and patient counselling.
