The Female Ranger Coordinator is accountable for the effective and efficient coordination of the Ranger Program on behalf of the traditional owners of the Far West Coast Aboriginal community.
The position contributes to the promotion and preservation of the cultural heritage, land and sea rights and environment of the Far West Coast region and its peoples, respect for, and protection of FWCAC rights and interests on country.
This position supervises the female Rangers employed in the program, manages their daily activities and assists in their recruitment, development and performance management.
Typical examples of ongoing functions of the Female Ranger Coordinator would include overseeing projects and programs of conservation and monitoring of flora and fauna, cultural sites and assessing water quality, maintaining tourist amenities, fisheries patrols, pest/weed control and fire management.
