About the Division
The Regional Division operates seven Regional Centres (i.e., Bairnsdale, Ballarat, Bendigo, Geelong, Mildura, Moe, and Shepparton) to lead localised engagement and professional learning delivery, including across school sectors. It includes a local team in each location who knows the local school community and facilitates their engagement in professional learning.
The Division hosts statewide professional learning managed through the Leadership and Teaching Excellence Divisions. It works closely with the Academy Services Division for optimal participant support and customer service. It works closely with the Business Services Division for efficient learning space and technology management.
About the Role
The Mildura Regional Centre leads localised delivery of cross-sectoral teaching and school leadership professional learning in the Mallee areas. The Mildura Regional Centre understands the local school community and support facilitation of engagement in professional learning.
The Project Officer will assist in planning and delivery of professional learning. To achieve this, this role will work with Academy and Department of Education teams to commission, schedule, and plan the delivery of professional learning, including ensuring the right cohorts of participants are engaged in the right programs to meet local needs. This will require this role to undertake a project management approach to the end-to-end implementation of the Academy's programs being delivered at the Mildura Regional Centre.
A focus of the role will be to support the scoping, planning and delivery of programs ensuring quality, timeframes, and budget requirements of the Mildura Regional Centre are met. The role is part of a broader team within the regional division's seven locations across Victoria and will also leverage cross disciplinary support from other Academy divisions.
This position requires the successful applicant to demonstrate a solid level of initiative, expertise, experience and knowledge in program and project management as well as experience in developing, implementing, and customising program and project processes and systems.

Your capacity for collaboration, driving continuous improvement, and cultivating genuine relationships will be pivotal for your success. The successful applicant must clearly demonstrate a high level of written communication skills including the ability to prepare briefs, letters, emails and reports using clear, concise and grammatically correct language, using appropriate style and formats.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
Relevant qualification or equivalent experience working in a dynamic, high performing team in a large, complex organisation.
This offer is a fixed term role at 0.4 FTE.
