Job Title: Warehouse Worker - Forklift Operator & RF Scanner
Position Summary:
Workforce Extensions | Scoresby's Client is seeking a reliable and experienced Warehouse Worker with strong skills in forklift operation and RF (Radio Frequency) scanning. This role is essential for ensuring the accurate and efficient receipt, storage, and shipment of products within our facility. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and capable of working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move, load, and unload materials.
- Use RF scanners to accurately pick, scan, and verify inventory and shipments.
- Receive, inspect, and process incoming shipments and materials.
- Prepare orders by picking, packing, and labeling products for shipment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse.
- Adhere to safety protocols and report any hazards or incidents.
- Assist with other general warehouse tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Licence & Proven experience operating forklifts (certification may be required).
- Proficient with RF scanning equipment and inventory systems.
- Ability to lift up to [insert weight, e.g., 20kg] and perform physical tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and basic math abilities.
Work Environment:
- State of the art facility with excellent work conditions, Kitchen facilities and quality indoor/outdoor dining facilities.
- Warehouse setting with moderate noise levels.
- May involve standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods.
- Overtime may be required depending on business needs.
