Join Kestrel Coal as a Graduate Electrical Engineer, contributing to underground coal mining operations with a focus on technical and professional development.
Your Role
Key responsibilities include:
- Participating in rotations with operational and technical teams to understand operations.
- Assisting with the maintenance and reliability of electrical systems.
- Contributing to project planning, execution, and improvement initiatives.
- Performing root cause analysis and troubleshooting equipment performance.
- Supporting compliance with safety, statutory, and environmental standards.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across the site.
- Participating in technical training, site rotations, and development workshops.
About You
Ideal candidates will have:
- A recent or soon-to-be degree in Electrical Engineering (Bachelor level).
- A strong interest in mining and heavy industry.
- Practical mindset with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and a collaborative team player attitude.
- Commitment to safety, learning, and continuous improvement.
- Strong software skills including Microsoft applications.
- Willingness to live in (or relocate to) Emerald, QLD.
