Well-established and growing tier 2 civil contractor with exciting projects in mining and civil components of battery and wind projects Senior design role advising the business on civil design issues across their projects Melbourne-based role with some travel to sites in Latrobe Valley Ideal background in civil design with approx. 10 years’ experience. Exposure to mining, renewables or major infrastructure projects a bonus. Our client is a well-established and market leading civil contractor, they are looking for an experienced and dedicated Senior / Principal Civil Designer to join their growing business. Our client provides their services across a number of industry sectors such as building construction, renewables, industrial, mining and resources, transport infrastructure, environmental etc. and you will be responsible for contributing to the successful delivery of a challenging projects. Types of projects include demolition, bulk earthworks, excavation, retention, piling, foundations, ground improvement, soft and hard landscaping, site remediation and rehabilitation etc. Typical values from $5 to $100m+. You’ll work closely with senior leadership, project managers, project engineers, design consultants, and on-site teams to develop and coordinate practical, efficient design solutions that support high-quality project delivery. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: • Lead and develop civil design packages for a variety of projects • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external consultants • Review and resolve technical challenges across design stages • Ensure compliance with Australian standards and safety requirements • Contribute to tender and pre-construction activities Qualifications and Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline • 7+ years’ experience in civil design across infrastructure, mining, renewables or other sectors • Proficient in industry design tools • Strong understanding of construction methodologies and design best practices • Excellent communication and team collaboration skills • Flexibility to travel to Gippsland project sites when required If you have the skills and experience that we are looking for, click on “Apply” to submit your resume.
