Position Summary
The F & B Precinct Manager at Food by WHSmith is responsible for all aspects of the operational performance of the site within the Melbourne Region.
This includes leading compliance for payroll & safety, leadership of the team, the performance of the P&L and managing the client relationship.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Manage the team, setting store standards and objectives in line with business requirements.
- Effectively communicate with all levels of staff including internal and external providers.
- Identify, lead and manage operational staff.
- Mentor and develop the team to measure individual and team Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) against the Service Level Agreement (SLA’s) and drive the team to achieve service excellence, both individually and as team.
- Actively participate in the Annual Performance Review process for all managers and oversee the same process for all store teams.
- Oversee and support the recruitment, training and development of the store teams.
- Carry out the recruitment, training and development of the store teams.
- Demonstrate pro-active leadership and management of all teams.
- Review current business processes, recommending and driving improvement plans in relation in service delivery alongside the Food Operations Manager.
- Deliver stock process and high stock file integrity to ensure availability and minimise loss.
- Develop and maintain a wide range of business relationships – both central teams and external parties, in order to ensure integrity of the brand and excellent delivery of service.
- Ensure the compliance of Time and Attendance data to the Fast Food Industry Award (FFIA) including, Shift Patterns, Rosters, Clocking data in the Time and Attendance system.
- Ensure the adherence to health and safety procedures (HACCP) in all sites within the region.
- Analyse internal/external data and trends, responding to outputs to improve commercial performance and drive continuous improvement.
- Analyse and report on weekly sales
- Assessment of performance data and recommendations to trading/store teams on areas to investigate for improvement.
We are seeking a natural leader with robust retail management experience, along with the following criteria:
- Minimum 5 year’s experience as a Senior Hospitality Manager.
- Beneficial experience in a contract catering environment.
- Prioritise and handle multiple tasks effectively.
- Experience managing food compliance alongside HACCP guidelines.
- Experience managing stock and distribution.
- Experience in managing a labour cost across a multi-site business unit.
- Effective staff management and coaching skills.
- The ability to achieve targets and KPIs.
- Highly analytical.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility with work hours and locations.
