About the role:

An exciting opportunity exists for a full time Fixed Term VPS-6 Solution Architect with significant experience with UKG Workforce Management Pro (WFM Pro) to shape the overall architecture of the Enterprise Rostering and Timesheets (Rostering) project.

The Rostering Project will deliver a large scale, single enterprise wide rostering and timesheet solution for Victoria Police.

The objective of the project is to consolidate Victoria Police's various rostering and timesheet tool sets and processes into a unified solution that will deliver efficiencies and benefits forll Victoria Police employees.

The Rostering project scope includes:

  • Timesheets
  • integration with existing systems,
  • complements existing rostering arrangements,
  • plans, forecasts, and manages shifts and leave,
  • is available on approved Victoria Police fixed and mobile devices,
  • complies with Enterprise Bargaining Agreements (EBAs) and generates alerts for breaches and
  • generates timesheets based on the roster.
The Rostering Project is in the Investment, Governance and Assurance Department (IGAD) of Victoria Police.

IGAD is part of the Corporate and Regulatory Services Portfolio and strengthens partnership between Victoria Police investment functions and governance, reporting and assurance functions.

Your duties will include:

  • Lead, manage and develop the functional and technical architecture design of the UKG Workforce Management Pro (WFM Pro) solution for the Rostering Project.
  • Work with system integrators, other technical providers and departments of Victoria Police to ensure the solution is integrated into the Victoria Police environment and the solution architecture design is fit for purpose.
  • Develop the solution architecture to meet the needs of the Rostering Project, employing best practice methodologies and frameworks and solution architecture design.
  • Develop solution architecture and associated documentation and artefacts that are in-line with established principles, frameworks and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the Enterprise Architect, Domain Architects, and internal and vendor teams to produce said solution designs and roadmaps.
  • Provide expert advice to the project team and departmental leaders as to the most appropriate design and solution architecture options for UKG WFM Pro system solutions.
  • Lead design workshops including technical meetings with the business and project stakeholders to enable development of the Victoria Police solution.

The successful candidate will ideally have the following skills and experience:

  • Extensive UKG WFM Pro experience and knowledge (e.g. module knowledge and module configuration).
  • Demonstrated capability in UKG WFM Pro design, documentation, configuration and testing during implementation.
  • Demonstrated in-depth knowledge and experience working with UKG WFM Pro software and solution design within a large and complex organisational deployment.
  • Experience with:
  • Solution Architecture, including Solution Architecture Diagrams and documentation.
  • Integration architecture including API gateway platforms and ESB / event driven architecture.
  • Information Security / Cybersecurity controls
  • Cloud and SaaS architecture and technologies
  • Highly developed conceptual, analytical, problem solving, and organisational skills combined with an agile approach that displays and understanding of the bigger picture and key issues in complex situations.
  • Demonstrated experience and a record of achievement in the provision of timely and accurate advice to senior management on strategic issues.

Further Information:

  • One (1) x full-time, fixed term for one (1) year from date of commencement position available.
  • This position is located at Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands.
  • The successful applicant will be required to undergo National Security Vetting, achieve and maintain a security classification as determined by the Department Head. To achieve this, applicants must be an Australian Citizen.
  • The successful candidate will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
