Our Above Water Systems team provides engineering & maintenance services to Royal Australian Navy vessels and commercial ships. We’re proud to bolster Australia’s sovereign capability through operational support to our defence partners. We are looking for an experienced and qualified Electrical Tradesperson with a strong focus on compliance and safety to join as an Electrical Compliance Officer .

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support planning, scheduling, and implementation of the Electrical Compliance Program.
  • Conduct site audits and ensure compliance with Australian Standards, Codes of Practice, and regulations.
  • Maintain and develop the Test & Tag program, including technical guidance and software use.
  • Assist with product recall assessments, quality control documentation, and internal training resources.
  • Supervise multi-skilled teams and contribute to continuous improvement and safety culture.

About You:

  • Licensed Australian Electrical Tradesperson with minimum 5 years’ trade experience.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in compliance or Test & Tag activities.
  • Certified in Test & Tag, Confined Space Entry, Working at Heights, and Lock Out Tag Out.
  • Strong understanding of electrical compliance standards and digital tools.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Leadership experience or qualifications in supervision (e.g. Cert IV).

Desirable:

  • Background in ship repair or defence support environments.
  • Experience with quality management systems (ISO 9001).
  • Certificate IV in WHS or equivalent.
