We are on the lookout for an experienced, adaptable, and inspiring Area Manager to support our exceptional team of Early Childhood professionals!
About the Role
The Area Manager plays a key leadership role in overseeing the daily operations of our growing network of high-quality long day care services. In this role, you'll guide and support Centre Managers to drive excellence in service delivery, ensure regulatory compliance, nurture staff development, and enhance business performance—all while championing Rise Early Learning’s vision and values.
This is a full-time role based either at one of our services or our Head Office in North Sydney, with regular travel to centres within your portfolio and flexibility required.
Role Objectives:
• Lead a portfolio of 6 services (3 in Sydney, 2 in regional NSW, and 1 in QLD), with several of our services currently expanding and further growth plans imminent
• Identify opportunities to enhance operational effectiveness and service efficiency
• Achieve business performance targets and ensure full compliance with the National Quality Framework and all relevant regulations
• Mentor Centre Managers on the Early Years Learning Framework to ensure educational programs are meaningful, inclusive, and child-centred
• Set clear priorities and strategic goals for your teams in alignment with Rise’s broader objectives
• Communicate Rise’s strategic direction in a compelling and unifying way to promote a collaborative culture
• Partner with the Quality team to deliver best practices and high-quality outcomes for children, families, and educators
• Champion a strong focus on safety, safeguarding, service quality, and continuous improvement.
Role Requirements:
• Minimum 2 years' experience in a multi-site leadership role within the Early Childhood sector
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, occupancy, staffing rosters, ratios, and operational KPIs
• Proven experience in successfully transforming underperforming services or teams
• In-depth knowledge of Early Childhood legislation, National Quality Standards, and the Assessment & Rating process
• Strong understanding of child-safe principles and contemporary safeguarding practices
• A degree in Early Childhood Teaching from a recognised university or a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (ACECQA approved) from recognised RTO
• Current Working with Children Check (NSW and/or QLD) and valid driver’s licence
• Excellent coaching and mentoring skills, with a leadership style that inspires, engages, and uplifts team members at all levels.
