Your impact

As a Snr Business Manager, your role is to lead the delivery of our best in class campaigns.

In addition to meeting annual personal performance objectives, a Snr Business Manager is expected to meet most of the following qualifications.

Product:

  • Oversees project implementation and responsible for on time and on budget delivery.
  • Leads journalist relationship building initiatives within the team across various sectors.
  • Develops strategic and tactical client programs in conjunction with supervisor. Demonstrates an ability to apply PR techniques beyond media relations in response to client briefs.
  • Builds and maintains key relationships with media/opinion leaders and other relevant third parties.
  • Demonstrates event management capabilities.
  • Ensures the implementation of publicity strategies meets campaign and/or retainer KPI’s. Troubleshooting with the team should issues arise.
  • Demonstrates ability to write persuasively and review / edit a range of appropriate styles - pitches, briefing materials, releases, research, features, case studies, newsletters, Web site copy, mini-proposals, bylined articles, etc.
  • Oversees influencer programs to ensure on brief and on budget.
  • Assists supervisor in briefing other areas of the business including strategy, creative and producers. Working with Resource to arrange project team meetings.
  • Manages post campaign analysis including on time delivery to clients. Evaluates results against objectives and tactics to develop learnings.

Client Service:

  • Possesses deep understanding of client business, objectives, competitors, industry sectors and issues.
  • Develops a strong advisory relationship with clients at multiple levels. Positions Eleven as a strategic partner.
  • Manages day-to-day client liaison, ensuring deadlines are being met, client is continually informed of project status, and leading client meetings.
  • Provides consistent, quality service to clients - on time and on budget - and takes pride in the outputs.
  • Generates new proactive ideas and opportunities by maintaining an in-depth interest / knowledge of current affairs and looks for ways to increase client satisfaction.
  • Possesses account management skills; takes responsibility for account and acts/advises solutions.
  • Provides client coaching in advance of media interviews.
  • Develops advanced communication, presentation and influencing skills. Able to articulate rationale, express ideas and recommendations in client and team meetings.
  • Demonstrates creativity by leading brainstorms and developing strong presentations in conjunction with supervisor.
  • Prepares client budgets and holds accountability for financials for certain projects. Aware of the financial status of the account at all times.

Business Growth:

  • Seeks and develops opportunities for organic growth of existing clients.
  • Maintains and develops contacts, follows up on networking opportunities.
  • Recognises new business opportunities and works with supervisor to action.
  • Contributes to slide development, offers creative input and ideas rationales to new business processes.
  • Supports supervisor to ensure smooth integration of new business and smooth running of existing accounts.
  • Builds financial management skills including profitability, servicing, billable targets and cost-management. Attends monthly JDRs.
  • Possesses knowledge of full services within TBWA.

People:

  • Oversees junior staff and supervises projects by setting priorities, providing clear briefings, delegating responsibilities and maintaining deadlines.
  • Becomes a role model for junior staff and actively looks to maintain and build positive working relationships.
  • Contributes to personal development of junior staff by sharing live feedback, coaching and inputting into growth development plans.
  • Demonstrates commitment to Eleven values by effectively leading the team, demonstrating positive attitude, communication and problem-solving.

Skills:

  • Effectively plans and meets deadlines; successfully juggling multiple work priorities and managing own and the team’s time, including completion of timesheets each week.
  • Consistently works to Eleven standards, paying attention to detail, understanding expectations and reviewing junior work.
  • Works independently, taking initiative and asking for help when needed.
  • Demonstrates innovation and creativity when reviewing briefs and all work to see how it can be improved / Turned up to Eleven.
  • Supports company culture, actively seeks new, smarter and more creative ways of doing things.
  • Possesses profile within wider agency.
