  • Located at the Caboolture and Strathpine Office dependent on position and team
  • 9-day fortnight RDO
  • $101,880pa + 12% super
    Qld Local Government Industry Award (Stream A) - Level 6 of EBA5
  • 72.5 hour fortnight
  • Hybrid, flexible working environment, including some work from home days

Join City of Moreton Bay as a Senior Planner – Development Services and help shape and enhance our communities for today and tomorrow.

As a Senior Planner within the Development Services team, you will provide specialist advice and lead the assessment of moderately complex development matters relating to the land use impacts of development for the community within the City of Moreton Bay.

Additionally, you will:

  • provide technical oversight and guidance to other technical experts in the review and assessment of development applications
  • undertake site inspections and investigations
  • lead the levying and recovery of the cost of infrastructure, including negotiation of moderately complex infrastructure agreements
  • refer development applications or prepare recommendation for review and decision

About You

We are looking for a Senior Planner that has experience and knowledge in the delivery of planning assessment and compliance services, and an understanding in the principles and practices relating to urban design and placemaking. You will be someone that has extensive knowledge and understanding of relevant planning and development legislation and policy, as well as State planning policy, the SEQ Regional Plan, the Planning scheme, and the adopted infrastructure charge resolution.

You will also have:

  • degree in Town Planning or equivalent qualification
  • general Induction Licence (White card) and Current C class driver’s Licence
  • experience in providing technical oversight and direction to technical specialists and junior planners
  • strong influencing skills with the ability to negotiate moderately complex infrastructure and other commercial agreements
  • ability to build and maintain strong relationships across a range of diverse internal and external stakeholders
