We are looking for experienced chefs and cooks at Royal Hotel, Singleton. The positions offer excellent working conditions with motivated management. Both full time and casual position available.
The Role
A great opportunity for an experienced chef or cook looking for a new challenge. We have a supportive team and fast paced kitchen. The successful candidates will be working with their Head Chef and will have the ability to offer input into the operation, assist our team and create daily specials.
The main tasks will include:
- Setting up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
- Preparing food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
- Cooking menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
- Liaising with Head Chef and FOH staff to ensure food preparation & meal services run smoothly.
- Oversee meals as they are prepared to ensure appropriate quality standards.
- Training other cooks and kitchen hand staff.
Working 5 days per week, the successful candidates will assist with preparing the kitchen for service and cooking a diverse range of meals during service.
The kitchen is open 7 days per week for lunch and dinner. The focus is on a diverse menu specialising in seafood, pastas and quality steaks.
Qualification in Commercial Cookery preferred. Experience in fast paced kitchens a plus.
Salary: $73,150 - $85,000 per year
