About the opportunityAs Australia's AML/CTF regulator and financial intelligence unit, AUSTRAC is responsible for detecting, deterring and disrupting criminal exploitation of the Australian financial system, to protect the Australian community from serious and organised crime.

The Administrative Support Officer will provide one-on-one assistance to other staff in a range of administrative and support tasks. Responsibilities include retrieving information from internal databases and systems, conducting general research, note-taking and collaborating with colleagues requiring administrative help. The ideal candidate will demonstrate emotional intelligence, patience, and a proactive approach to supporting individual and team needs.

The key duties of the position include
The Administrative Support Officer, under routine direction will assist in:
- Accessing, retrieving and summarising information from internal databases and systems.
- Providing one-on-one support with reading a range of documents, including legislation, policies, and other written material.
- Taking detailed and accurate notes during meetings held internally and externally.
- Providing assistance at on-site compliance assessments which may require occasional travel.
- Maintaining accurate record keeping tasks such as filing of documents for team use.
- Assist in organising administrative tasks to ensure outcomes are achieved.
- Collaborate with team members and contribute to a supportive and inclusive workplace culture.
