This position will be reporting to the Board and the Executive Officer is responsible for providing leadership and the oversight of exceptional service to all of their staff and residents. The Executive Officer is responsible for profitability, compliance, continued development of the home's services in order to meet organisations strategic plan.

- Competitive salary starting at $155,000 - $170,000 plus super
- Salary packaging $18,550
- Flexible working arrangements - 5 days 38 hours or choose to do a 4 day working week or a 9 day fortnight.
- FREE Accommodation is provided whilst completing contract or if you want to work Monday to Friday onsite and then go home for the weekend
The Role:
- Work closely with the finance manager, village coordinator, catering, cleaning and maintenance, supervisors, quality coordinator.
- The EO is expected to bring leadership and innovative thinking to continually improve aged care outcomes
- Exceptional understanding of the Aged Care Standards and across the changing regulatory requirements.
- Providing resident focused, personal centred care services with consent from resident
- Provide leadership and vision for all operational functions of the enterprise. Developing management strategies and systems to enable the organisation to meet all quality standards and statutory compliance requirements
- Protection and maintenance of assets including upgrades to infrastructure planning
- Be in attendance at Board and Committee meetings
- Capacity to proactively manage liquidity risk and deliver on the Board's vision and strategies
- Provide the leadership and management strategies to enable the organisation to meet all statutory compliance requirements
- Ensure delivery of a high standard of care. Help to develop services that are safe, culturally appropriate, nurturing and promote dignified aged care
- Determine best practice human resource management requirements and best practice
- Work to ensure ongoing professional development of staff and promotion of a safe and inclusive positive working environment
- Business Performance and Financial Management - budgets, strategic planning
- IT competency and understanding of the value and risks for technology solutions for assisting work efficiency and communications
- Risk management and maintaining quality standards
- Workforce management - Demonstrated understanding of building a skilled and committed workforce with a caring and professional culture and an ability to inspire staff
- Organisational leadership - Skills in understanding of role and responsibility at EO level including workforce planning responsibilities including attaining and retention, effective delegation, workforce professional staff development
- Communication with range of stakeholders -residents, their families and funding bodies
- Effective systems management for monitoring risk and continuous improvement
- Governance - Knowledge of governance practices, management reporting and compliance reporting and ability to support the operations of Board of Management
- Knowledge of policy, and procedural protocols and quality control
- Strategic thinking, and planning and critical thinking. A strong vision for moving forward
The successful candidate:
- QUALIFICATIONS: Demonstrated experience to manage and provide leadership at a senior level in a rural aged care environment. A tertiary qualification in a relevant area is essential such as Business, Finance, Health or similar
- Leadership with a track record of running a high performing business
- Ability to lead an effective team and empowering staff to provide exceptional client focused care services
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience working collaboratively with Boards to set a clear strategy and business focus
- Competency in a senior level of financial management - including reviewing and analysing budgets and reports
- Strategic and critical thinking and planning capability - be able to identify changing themes, trends and future directions and respond to these
