The Water and Carbon Group is a unique contractor that specialises in the design, building and operation of low-energy wastewater treatment and ecological infrastructure solutions. Our ecological restoration team are leaders in designing and delivering biodiverse forests and wetland projects that identify and integrate a diversity of values. The team is based in Springwood, QLD delivering a range of projects from vegetation offsets, riparian and floodplain restoration to the rehabilitation of lowland subtropical rainforests.
The Role - Ecological Restoration Practitioner(s) (Full-Time)
We are currently seeking ecological restoration practitioners to assist with the ongoing delivery of projects. The role will provide the opportunity of working with a highly experienced ecological restoration team across a diversity of vegetation communities.
The role would suit those with an interest in ecological restoration principles and practices. Self-motivated and reliable individuals are required with a willingness to work throughout challenging conditions e.g. hot, humid summers.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Conservation and Land Management qualification and/or on-ground experience.
- Knowledge of ecological restoration including weed management techniques.
- Plant identification skills including native species of SEQ and exotic weed species.
- Manual driver's licence.
- Blue/white general construction safety induction.
- ACDC or Chemcert.
- First Aid and CPR.
Desirable
- Light Rigid Licence.
- 4WD competency.
- Zero-turn mower operation experience.
- GIS experience.
- Australian Association of Bush Regenerators (AABR) Accreditation.
