About the role:

As our Event Manager , you’ll be the driving force behind the planning, execution, and follow-up of BTYC events. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you’ll mix hands-on coordination with behind-the-scenes admin to deliver events that shine.

While experience in gymnastics or sports management is preferred, your passion for high-quality event delivery is what truly matters.

Key Responsibilities:

Pre-Event Preparation

  • Develop and design promotional and marketing materials
  • Lead and participate in pre-event planning meetings
  • Manage event entries and compile work orders
  • Coordinate the preparation of event materials, including awards, decorations, and catering for judges
  • Create judge and staff rosters
  • Overseeing volunteer coordination and scheduling
  • Collaborate closely with the Accounts Manager to manage event-related budgets and payments

On-the-Day Management

  • Overseeing the smooth running of events
  • Provide operational support to staff, volunteers, and judges throughout the event
  • Respond to issues promptly to maintain event flow and uphold quality standards

Post-Event Review & Administration

  • Complete all required post-event documentation and administrative tasks
  • Conduct inventory checks of event materials and awards
  • Support the collection and analysis of event feedback for continuous improvement

Essential Requirements

  • First Aid Certificate
  • Current Provide/Perform CPR
  • National Police / Criminal History Check
  • Working with Children / Working with Vulnerable People Check

Desirable Criteria

  • Relevant Tertiary Qualification
