About the Business Unit:
Located across the NWMA are fourteen non-custodial locations in the Melbourne CBD, Broadmeadows, Coolaroo, Reservoir, South Morang, Melton, Sunshine, Werribee, Derrimut, Laverton, Tullamarine and Thomastown, plus the Neighbourhood Justice Centre in Collingwood, and the Court Services Unit at the Melbourne Magistrates Court. There are four Youth Justice office locations in Broadmeadows, Reservoir, Werribee and Sunshine.
About the Role:
The Justice Officer delivers friendly, efficient customer service to clients of the Department of Justice and Community Safety. As part of the role you will maintain timely and accurate administrative support to regional locations and staff.
Some of your duties will include:
- Providing information and assistance to clients, internal and external stakeholders and the public including the collation, review and processing of applications
- Greeting and liaising with clients and stakeholders while providing accurate advice and information in relation to Justice Services in accordance with business processes
- Providing a range of high-quality and efficient administrative services to regional program areas including administrative support to Community Correctional Services and Sheriff's Operations
The position is based at the Reservoir Office; however, it is an expectation of the role that the successful applicant is willing to support at other locations across the North Metro (South Morang, North East Community Location (TBA) and at times other Justice Service Centres within the NWMA). A driver's license is therefore preferred but not essential.
