The Team Leader Engagement and Partnerships supports the ‘Nature Next Door' Melbourne Strategic Assessment (MSA) Program to strengthen and build relationships with a range of partners and delivery agencies. The MSA Program manages the impact of urban development in Melbourne's growth areas to protect our threatened ecosystems, plants and animals. The Program is establishing some of the largest conservation areas and reserves right on Melbourne's doorstep. Our partners and stakeholders play a critical role in helping to deliver the MSA Program.As the successful applicant, you will lead a small team and have responsibility for strengthening partnerships with a wide range of stakeholders, government agencies, members of the community and First Nations people with diverse motivations, drivers and expectations. This role will also lead the development of internal communication plans for the program, oversee several reporting activities, collaboration and a focus on building understanding and awareness of the MSA Program and its role in protecting threatened animals, plants and ecosystems around Greater Melbourne.
Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications
* Qualifications and/or expertise related to stakeholder and community engagement, media and/or communications are desirable.
* Demonstrated experience in working effectively with a range of stakeholders and ability to strengthen maintain and build relationships and partnerships is highly desirable.
This is an ongoing position. The work location for this position is 8 Nicholson Street, East Melbourne with hybrid work arrangements available.
