Lead Surveyor For $100m Water Filtration Plant - BargoTier 1 Construction & Water Utilities contractorPermanent role with career progression10 year capital works programs with Sydney WaterThe OpportunityWe are looking for a hardworking engineering surveyor with a good attitude to lead the charge at our new project upgrade at Nepean Water Filtration Plant. This project is worth approx. $100m and involves FRP works, new utility installation, earth and roadworks. Overtime will be required during the peak of the project. This project will go for approx. 2-3 years and then the applicant will fall back into our motivated, dynamic survey team with long term locked in works with Sydney Water for many years to come.
You will be responsible forThe management of daily survey recordsGeneral set out and conformancesLiaising and planning of site survey requirements with project staffEnsuring the most up to date data is being communicated to site teams and GPS guided machineryIntegrating with the Design and Construction teams to support on multiple work fronts, from pegging out alignments, surveying construction layouts, supporting with WAC and other survey related tasksLeading a culture of safety and productivity across multiple projectsThe role requires strong influencing skills, innovation and resilience. We have an existing vibrant and dynamic team that is proud to partner with Sydney Water and the communities within which we operate.
What we need from youTertiary/TAFE Survey qualificationsA minimum of 3 year of Survey experienceSolid understanding of 12D and 12D fieldCompetent with Leica instrumentation 1200, Viva or TS15/16Strong organisational skills, ability to prioritise works and work autonomously to deliver the outcomesProven commitment to safety, quality and environmental compliance on siteGood problem solving expertiseAffinity for continuous improvement and innovation, applying learnings to 'real world' project delivery environments.Benefits
