Your Key Accountabilities
The core capability requirements for this role are:
- Provide technical support for a fleet of assets including desktops, laptops, printers, MFDs, mobile devices, servers, on-site network equipment and technology assets.
- Monitor ITSM tool queues and action technical activities as delegated, escalate issues, and maintain customer communications regarding the progress of jobs.
- Provide technical advice and specifications in broader project work and assist in solutions design and implementation for state wide ICT projects.
- Assist in the development of technical documentation for end users and technical support colleagues throughout the state.
- Liaise with managers, internal and external IT teams and proactively identify IT requirements and develop local strategies to optimise the use of available information technologies.
- Provide high quality advice and assistance to QPS and our customer agencies in the procurement of ICT equipment.
Highly Desirable
- Minimum 4 years' experience in an enterprise-scale ICT services environment
- Experience in the use of ITIL framework
- Experience with mobile device technologies
- Experience in Windows server (2008 and above)
- Experience in Windows 7 SOE and above
- Experience with ITSM tool management for IT Service Delivery
- Possession of a current open Queensland “C” class driver's licence is required to perform the role
- Intra and inter-state travel may be required
- Deployments, including participation in a 24/7 roster, during emergency and major incident events
- Performance of some manual tasks e.g. moving / relocating computers and printers. Workplace Health and Safety policies apply
- On-call duties, overtime and work outside normal business hours may be required.
