Cross River Rail will transform the way we travel to, from and through Brisbane in the future. It will be a catalyst for 10 years of wider rail transformation across the whole of South East Queensland and it is already playing a key role in how we prepare for the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Cross River Rail is a new 10.2km rail line including 5.9km of twin tunnels running under the Brisbane River and CBD. It includes the delivery of four new underground stations, two new above-ground stations, accessibility rebuilds for six stations, the construction of three new stations on the Gold Coast, and the introduction of a new world-class ‘ETCS' signalling system.

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to work on one of Australia's largest infrastructure projects and to be a part of something that will leave a lasting legacy for generations to come.

About The Role

As Front of House Officer, you will provide the initial point of contact for the Delivery Authority and play a key role in supporting the Facilities function. Reporting to the Facilities Supervisor, you will help manage meeting room coordination, support new starters, oversee office consumables, handle financial administration including Cabcharges, and ensure smooth day-to-day office operations.

This opportunity is offered as a contract until December 2026 with possibility of extension

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform front of house duties, assist with meeting room coordination, and provide a high-quality guest experience.
  • Work closely with IT and staff to ensure smooth meeting setups and troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Coordinate the new starter process and maintain office supplies and facilities.
  • Provide administrative support to Corporate Services or Executive teams as directed.
  • Manage financial tasks including purchase approvals, Cabcharge registers, maintain administrative registers and reports to monitor, analyse, and improve functions.


About You

  • Previous Front of House experience – highly regarded
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • High-level interpersonal communication skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced team environment.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • A proactive attitude with a passion for delivering excellent internal service.
