We are seeking an experienced Asset Auditor to join a prestigious university and contribute to the management and maintenance of its campus assets. In this role, you will be responsible for auditing and assessing the condition of various university assets, including equipment and facilities, and ensuring accurate documentation in the Asset Register.
The Role:
The role requires attention to detail, safety knowledge, and the ability to collaborate with university facilities teams. Previous experience in asset auditing or facilities management is highly desirable. This position offers a competitive hourly rate, on-site parking, and the opportunity to gain valuable experience within a dynamic university setting. You will utilize iPads and asset management software to log, track, and evaluate assets, as well as work with P&IDs to identify undocumented items. A strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, including switchboards and plant rooms, is essential.
Main Dutuies and Key Responsibilities:

Conduct detailed audits of university assets, including equipment, machinery, and facilities.

Accurately document asset conditions and update the Asset Register in a timely manner.

Utilize iPads and asset management software to track, log, and assess assets.

Work with P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams) to identify and track undocumented assets.

Perform assessments of a variety of campus facilities, including mechanical and electrical systems such as switchboards, plant rooms, chiller systems, gearboxes, and water pumps.

Understand and apply critical safety protocols, particularly related to relief and pressure valves.

Collaborate with facilities teams to ensure that all asset-related information is up-to-date and compliant with university standards.
Essential Qualifications & Skills:

Proven experience in asset auditing, facilities management, or a related technical field.

Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems commonly found in university facilities.

Strong attention to detail with the ability to document and assess asset conditions accurately.

Proficient with technology, including the use of iPads and asset management software.

Ability to work independently and efficiently, while also collaborating with various teams across the university.

Strong understanding of safety protocols, particularly related to critical systems such as relief/pressure valves.

Familiarity with university campus infrastructure or similar institutional settings is an advantage.

Duration: 1-2 months (with potential for extension)

Pay: $40-$45 per hour + Super

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday - 7am to 4pm or 8am to 4pm
