Senior Project Manager - Network Segmentation
A prestigious Australian university is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead a major Network Segmentation Project as part of its broader infrastructure and cybersecurity strategy
WHAT'S ON OFFER
- $1000.00 a Day Inclusive of super.
- Initial 6-Month engagement , with possibility of extension.
- Melbourne CBD.
- Hybrid working model, 2 days in office.
- Exposure to working alongside a well-established Australian Uni.
THE ROLE:
- Lead the delivery of the university's Network Segmentation Project, ensuring a structured approach to security and access control.
- Provide technical leadership, particularly in network engineering and policy management.
- Work closely with network engineers and cybersecurity teams to implement segmentation strategies beyond simple workload migration.
- Utilize Aruba ClearPass to define and enforce network access policies.
- Manage project budgets, ensuring clear forecasting, reallocation of funds, and establishing financial contingencies.
- Drive compliance with technical and security standards while managing project variations.
- Engage and manage vendors, ensuring delivery against time, quality, and financial KPIs.
- Proactively identify risks, developing innovative solutions to project challenges.
- Influence and collaborate with diverse stakeholders, providing clear communication and reporting.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Strong technical background in network engineering, with experience in network segmentation (not just workload migration).
- Prior experience delivering infrastructure or cybersecurity projects in complex environments.
- Substantial project lifecycle experience, from planning to full execution.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, issue-driven landscape, adapting to changing priorities.
- Proven budget management and financial accountability.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and vendor management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to write formal project documentation and correspondence with accuracy and clarity.
