The Opportunity
Are you an experienced Finance Officer ready to work independently and hit the ground running? We're seeking a highly skilled transactional-level Finance Officer to support our client based in the Cape York Region. After an initial one-week onsite training visit , this role will be fully work-from-home .
About the Role
This position requires someone confident in end-to-end transactional finance tasks, with minimal supervision. If you're experienced with MYOB Advanced , have a strong grasp of accounts payable, payroll, and bank reconciliations-and love digging into records to determine best practice-this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Process cash transaction entries directly from bank statements and source documents.
- Confidently search MYOB for historical records to inform accurate entries.
- Assist with payroll processing , with support provided as needed.
- Potential involvement in debtors invoicing and related tasks.
- Maintain accurate and compliant financial records with minimal oversight.
About You
- Proficient in MYOB Advanced - essential.
- Highly experienced at transactional level (not accountant level).
- Able to work independently , with strong problem-solving and self-direction.
- Immediate availability and willingness to travel to the Cape York Region for 1 week of initial training.
- Flexible, adaptable, and ready to support the team from day one.
