The Opportunity

Are you a hands-on leader with a mechanical or electrical trade background? We're seeking a proactive and experienced Senior Supervisor to join the ACRRP Remote Air Conditioning Program , supporting the replacement of school air conditioning systems across North Queensland.

Please note: This is NOT a FIFO role and no relocation assistance is available.

About the Role

As a key member of the team, you'll work closely with contractors, schools, and senior supervisors to ensure timely and efficient delivery of replacement and repair projects. From managing project correspondence to monitoring contractor performance, this role requires someone with strong technical knowledge and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing the dedicated mailbox for AC system replacements across NQ schools.
  • Supervise and coordinate work with contractors, schools, and internal project teams.
  • Monitor and follow up on:
  • Condition reports
  • Repair/replacement statuses
  • Contractor and school communications
  • Maintain accurate project records using systems like Ellipse and Microsoft Office.
  • Provide professional customer service and ensure timely responses to enquiries.
  • Prepare scopes, cost estimates, quotes, and tenders through government portals.
  • Conduct value-for-money checks on mechanical/electrical works.
  • Maintain and improve administrative procedures, manuals, and registers.
  • Support a performance-driven culture through KPI tracking and continuous improvement.

About You

Mechanical or electrical trade background (highly desirable).

Previous supervisory experience in a technical or construction setting.

Current Blue Card (or actively obtaining one).

 Strong organisational and administrative skills.

 Confidence working under pressure and managing competing deadlines.

 Ability to build strong relationships with local suppliers, contractors, and stakeholders.

 A team-first mindset and professional, solutions-driven approach.
