To be the right person for this role, you will have significant experience within the telecommunications industry and unified communications and have developed competence in a range of Unified Communications technologies. Specifically, you will be expert in UCaaS solutions like Microsoft Teams and Zoom as well as a range of SBCs (preferably Audiocodes) and be looking for your next big step. This role will give you the time and opportunities to grow your career.
In this role you will:
- Be involved in the scoping, design and delivery of UC solutions for SME and mid-sized customers
- Provide remote and occasional onsite support for voice infrastructure and associated technologies
- Troubleshoot and resolve a wide range of Unified Communications problems
- Work across engineering teams as a point of escalations for complex ongoing issues
- Own cloud and on-prem deployments
- Be a point of escalation for the most challenging UC issues from complex deployment issues to IVR call flow scripting problems
- Write and update technical documentation/Knowledge Base articles
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- Outstanding technical understanding of the telecommunications space, particularly Unified Comms
- Advanced competence with SBC (ideally Audio Codes) will be needed
- Significant experience delivering UCaaS solutions using Zoom and Teams will be needed, experience with Mitel will get bonus points and experience with Cisco UCS, 3CX, Asterix and Avaya etc could be useful
- Solid competence in most of the following technologies:
• VMWare vCenter/ESXi
• Networking (DHCP, Vlans, HP Switches, Meraki)
• SIP Trunking/Devices
• Fax over IP (FoIP) - Be a self-motivated, autonomous team player - At First Focus we win together

- To be a great communicator possessing outstanding spoken and written English skills
