About The Position

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Officer to join our team on a permanent full-time basis and play a key role in maintaining high food safety and quality standards across the site. You will educate and support team members, drive continuous improvement, and ensure compliance with GMP, GHP, and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote food safety and quality culture through training and team education.
  • Monitor and enforce GMP, GHP, and safety standards across the site.
  • Investigate and resolve quality issues, including customer complaints.
  • Drive continuous improvement through toolbox talks and team collaboration.
  • Support internal and external audits to maintain compliance.
  • Develop and implement corrective actions for non-conformities.
  • Ensure accurate reporting of quality and safety incidents.

Requirements

  • Minimum of AQF Level 5 qualification in an associated field, or at least three years of relevant industry experience
  • Previous experience within the meat industry (preferred but not essential)
  • Basic understanding of AUSMEAT, Export Requirements (DAWE), Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) and QA language.
  • Knowledge of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) concepts and applications

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $74,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
