THE OPPORTUNITY

Salary: $82.01 - $88.60 p/h + 11.5% super.
Location: Waverley campus.
WWCC: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining and maintaining an ‘employee’ Working with Children Check.
Police Check: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining a Police Check.
Position Status: Casual appointment.

We are seeking a passionate and experienced educator to join our Allied Health Assistance team, specialising in Nutrition and Dietetic Support. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and delivering high-quality education and assessment in line with national training standards and Holmesglen’s procedures. You will support students throughout their learning journey, using a range of teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs. A strong focus on industry engagement, resource development, and collaborative teamwork will be essential to contribute to student success and the ongoing quality of our programs.

Core units delivered in this role include:

HLTWHS002 – Follow safe work practices for direct client care
HLTINF006 – Apply basic principles and practices of infection prevention and control
CHCDIV001 – Work with diverse people
CHCCCS020 – Respond effectively to behaviours of concern

ABOUT YOU

Hold a relevant qualification at least to the level being delivered and assessed, along with a current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent).
Possess current industry experience and knowledge directly relevant to the Allied Health Assistance field, particularly in Nutrition and Dietetic Support with a strong understanding of current technology and vocational workplace practices.
Demonstrated ability to apply contemporary, flexible teaching and assessment strategies suited to diverse learning needs and vocational contexts in the Allied Health sector.
Proven experience in course development and delivery, including the use of ICT to support student engagement and independent learning, particularly in Nutrition and Dietetics.
Strong understanding of the VET sector, including national policies, frameworks, compliance requirements, and adult learning principles.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and organisational skills, with the ability to manage tasks independently and work effectively within a team environment.
