Description:
Hydraulic Controls Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced, dedicated, and qualified full-time Machinist to join their dynamic team.
The position is to perform all activities required to maximize production output on the plant's milling machines. This includes maintaining the machines in good working condition and housekeeping around the area of the machines.
Elements of the role will include such activities as;
- Preparing correct part drawings for parts to be machined in Solidworks CAD.
- Preparing programs for the Fanuc controllers.
- Preparing the Mastercam programs where requested.
- Maintain records and keep up to date the machine programs on the Server.
- Establishing the order of the cutting process.
- Selecting the most suitable fixturing methods.
- Selection of best tools, feeds, and speeds to produce high-speed quality parts.
- Set up the machine.
- Prepare stock for machining including crimping if required.
- Deburring done in the machine where possible or done manually out of the machine.
- Use precision measuring tools to check part features against the drawing.
- Maintain good records, and document procedures for all operations.
- Maintain Tool information spreadsheet.
- Maintain coolant condition, filters, oil skimmer, and mist collector, etc.
- Empty swarf bin.
- Keep the area including the floor clean and tidy around the machine.
- Keep the machine clean and regularly spray oil spray on surfaces that can rust.
- Manufacture parts according to a schedule provided by Sudha.
- Observe and follow all Health and Safety requirements.
Other additional Secondary duties may be required helping out in other parts of the factory, e.g. making parts on the lathe etc.
A remuneration package between $70,000 - $90,000 per year plus superannuation will be negotiated depending on skills and experience.
