Key Responsibilities:
- Support and guide children's development in accordance with the Montessori philosophy and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
- Foster a calm, respectful, and stimulating learning environment that promotes positive social, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Plan, prepare, and implement developmentally appropriate activities that support holistic learning and child-led exploration.
- Engage children through storytelling, reading, and interactive play to promote communication and language development.
- Supervise children during daily routines and recreational activities to ensure their safety, security, and wellbeing.
- Ability to work as a part of a diverse team and deliver high-quality educational programs tailored to individual learning needs.
- Maintain compliance with all relevant health, safety, and regulatory requirements, including supporting hygiene practices and encouraging children’s self-care and independence.
- Build and maintain positive, respectful relationships with children, families, and fellow workers, fostering a strong sense of community and trust.
Essential Qualifications
- Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (ACECQA recognised).
- Current Working with Children Check (WWCC).
- Up-to-date First Aid, CPR, and Child Protection (RRHAN-EC/Child Safe Environments) Certifications.
Experience and Knowledge Requirements:
- You must have a Minimum of 1 year experience (full time or part time equivalent) in working as a child care worker in a child care setting.
- Respect and understanding of diverse cultures, families and individual children's needs.
- Proficiency in using computers and relevant software to document children's learning and development.
