Montague Farms stretches from Legana in Tasmania right up to Batlow in New South Wales, stopping on the way at Narre Warren North, Harcourt, Ardmona, Dilpurra and Mildura. It consists of 1,000 hectares of productive orchards and significant packing operations. Montague Farms produces apples, pears, cherries, plums, peaches, apricots, grapes and citrus.
Our business is expanding through organic growth and as a result we are seeking candidates for the role of casual Farm Handwithin our Orchards Team.

About the role:
Working from our Bilmont Orchard located in Dilpurra, and reporting to the Farm Manager, this opportunity is one to really make a positive difference to our business.
The Farm Hand carries out scheduled operational activities across the Farms within established timeframes and quality standards to achieve the desired yield.
The Farm Hand role involves:
- Carry out a range of general farm duties including spraying, weeding, slashing, pruning, mulching, thinning, cleaning, fruit packing, and packhouse tasks.
- Operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and other farm equipment and tools as required.
- Hold valid licences and certificates necessary to perform specific tasks and operate machinery.
- Inspect equipment, structures, and materials to identify and report any defects or issues to the manager immediately.
- Mix and apply chemicals such as pesticides, herbicides, and fertilisers in accordance with safety guidelines.
- Strictly follow farm traffic management policies and procedures when operating vehicles.
- Attend training sessions, toolbox talks, and team meetings as required.
- Complete and submit all required daily records in a timely and accurate manner.
- Provide guidance and support to new and/or casual farm staff and labour hire workers asdirected.
- Perform other general farm duties consistent with the role, as needed.

- Hold a current, unencumbered driver's license.
Hours are Monday to Friday - 7.30am - 4.00pm (working overtime is sometimes requested)
Forklift license, Chem Certificate, First Aid Certificate, Chainsaw training and experience are all highly regarded.
