About the role:

The Asset Planning, Standards and Sustainability unit sits within the Capital Projects and Technical Services directorate and is responsible for leading and managing the strategic direction that informs executive decisions relating to asset planning, asset standards and asset sustainability to ensure education and care facilities align with current legislation, policies, and emerging trends.

The Project Coordinator, Asset Sustainability is responsible for analysing, interpreting and presenting data and trends to inform school and preschool (sites) improvements relative to environmental performance, operational expenditure, and climate change adaptability.

The Project Coordinator, Asset Sustainability is responsible for planning, advising and reporting on climate change mitigation and adaptation initiatives targeting energy and water performance improvements across the department’s built assets.


Qualifications:

Essential: Nil.

Desirable: Tertiary or post-secondary qualifications in Natural Resource.

Management, Environmental Management, Energy Management, Environmental Science, sustainability, or a related discipline. Knowledge of ArcGIS, PowerBI, or similar software tools.


Special conditions:

The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry. The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN –EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.

Remuneration:

ASO5 $85,790 - $95,413 per annum (1.0 FTE) + superannuation (11.5%) and leave loading.
