Events Coordinator – Carols by Candlelight
We’re on the lookout for a passionate organiser, master multitasker, and festive spirit extraordinaire to lead the charge on one of our most magical events of the year — Carols by Candlelight! From planning the big picture to fine-tuning the tiniest details, you’ll be the glue that holds the tinsel together
The Events Coordinator- Carol by Candlelight will ne responsible for the planning, coordinator and execution of the annual Carols by Candlelight in Johnstone Park Geelong. You will be responsible for :
- Planning an unforgettable event that delights our community and delivers real impact
- Juggle budgets, schedules, and venues like a seasoned pro
- Team up with food vendors, artistic directors, and local government legend
- Rally our volunteer elves and keep the vibe merry
Availability: The role is a casual position however the Carols by Candlelight is staged on the eve of Christmas eve 23rd December and the coordinator must be available
About the Role
The coordinator will organise an unforgettable event that will ensure the entertainment of participants and facilitate the completion of business objectives.
The coordinator will be responsible for the entire planning of the event, and will plan the event with attention to financial and time constraints
Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, venues, and organising committees, manage invoicing and payment collection, and apply forward-thinking strategies to anticipate and resolve potential issues before they arise

The Y Geelong Board and Management are committed to the safety and wellbeing of children and young people in accordance with our Safeguarding Children and Young People framework. All applicants must undergo satisfactory screening prior to commencement, including but not limited to :
- a national criminal history check (processed and paid for by the Y Geelong)
- an international criminal history check where applicants have worked overseas;
- holding or obtaining a valid Working with Children Card;
- Three Referee Checks
The successfully appointed applicant will be required to adhere to the Safeguarding Children and Young People policies and practices which include; safeguarding children and young people induction, annual SCYP training programs & committing to upholding the safety and wellbeing of children and young people throughout terms of employment.
