  • Collaborate closely with BIPU colleagues to ensure governance, planning and portfolio frameworks are cohesive, connected and consistently applied across all work packages.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including other government agencies, fostering cross-agency collaboration and networks.
  • Respond flexibly to changing priorities, which may include undertaking alternative duties or working from other locations temporarily or permanently to meet service delivery needs.

We're seeking a motivated, strategic thinker with a track record of working across boundaries to drive meaningful change. To be considered for this role, you will demonstrate the following:

  • Strong capabilities, experience or qualifications in portfolio or project management, risk, governance or strategic planning.
  • The ability to navigate complex organisational structures, influence stakeholders and cultivate innovation.
  • Resilience, sound judgement and the ability to make thoughtful, well-informed decisions in dynamic environments.
  • Proven success in managing competing priorities while driving outcomes with efficiency and accountability.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to negotiate effectively and build enduring professional relationships.
  • An understanding of, and commitment to, enhancing equity, diversity, inclusion and respect in the workplace.

Qualifications

There are no mandatory qualifications for this position. However, qualifications or experience in corporate risk, governance, or strategic program delivery will be highly regarded.

Key Capabilities

Aligned with the OIR Capability Framework and Leadership competencies for Queensland - Individual Contributor, the following capabilities are essential:

  • Leads strategically: Cultivates innovation, navigates organisational culture and drives outcomes through formal and informal channels.
  • Makes insightful decisions: Remains calm under pressure, using analysis and judgement to make sound decisions.
