About the Role
Swinburne University of Technology is driving a bold research agenda as part of its 2025 University Strategy. Central to this is the Research Services team, which supports high-quality, impactful research through effective grant management. We are now seeking a Senior Officer, Research Grants to join our team and help deliver this vision.
Reporting to the Senior Manager Research Grants, the Senior Officer will provide administrative and coordination support across both pre-award and post-award activities. This includes assisting researchers with the development and submission of competitive grant proposals, as well as managing awarded grants through their full lifecycle - from acceptance and agreement setup through to budgeting and milestone tracking.
The successful candidate will bring experience in research administration and project coordination, strong communication and organisational skills, and a customer-focused approach. The ability to work independently, manage competing deadlines, and build strong relationships with researchers and stakeholders is essential. Proficiency in office software and database management is also required.

About You
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:
- Demonstrated experience in project coordination, administration and support preferably in research administration or other complex or competitive funding program roles.

Completion of a relevant tertiary qualification with relevant experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
