Our client, a well funded Federal Government entity is seeking a Systems Analyst to join their team in July.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting research and in-depth analysis of existing business processes, data and products.
- Engaging with business stakeholders to understand their needs and express these as user stories and requirements.
- Collaborating with subject matter experts, end users, product owners, architects, developers, database administrators and testers to design and deliver solutions.
- Work in an agile way focused on iterative value delivery using lean/DevOps approaches.
Criteria:
- Feasibility assessment - Manages investigative work for feasibility assessments. Collaborates with stakeholders and specialists to gather necessary information. Advises on suitable assessment approaches and techniques. Prepares business cases, including cost/benefit, impact, and risk analysis for each option.
- Requirements definition and management - Leads scoping, requirements definition, and prioritisation for complex projects. Selects and adapts appropriate methods, tools, and techniques. Manages competing priorities and conflicts through negotiation. Establishes requirements baselines and ensures changes are managed.
- Specialist advice - Offers expert advice in your specialised area and maintains a high level of knowledge. Oversees and supports others in providing specialist advice. Consolidates information from multiple sources to further organisational goals. Promotes the development and sharing of specialist knowledge within the organisation.
- Systems design - Designs large or complex systems, analysing major design options and trade-offs to balance functional and non-functional requirements. Reviews designs to ensure effective methods, tools, and techniques are used. Recommends and manages risks, adapting system design methods as needed.
