About the opportunity
Position: Clinical Nurse
Vacancy: Permanent Part-time, 38 hours per fortnight
Location: Operating Theatres (Urology), Townsville University Hospital
What's on offer?
Pro rata remuneration package of up to $132,289 p.a.
- Salary range: $54.44 - $58.30 p.h. (+ applicable allowances/benefits) (Nurse Grade 6, Band 1).
- 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading and 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation.
- Plus great Salary Sacrificing options and flexible working arrangements may be available.
About the role
In this role you will provide direct nursing care utilising clinical skills, education and support to patients/clients and nursing staff within the unit to ensure the provision of best practice and quality patient care. The position is responsible for training staff in Urology procedures, ordering of clinical supplies and equipment and rostering staff allocated to the theatre in consultation with the Nurse Unit Manager to ensure that theatre templates are covered.
Role requirements
- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent certification relevant to the position is mandatory. Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and possession of a current practising certificate.
- This is a job share role and the successful candidate must have the availability to work Monday's.
Highly desirable
Possession of a relevant postgraduate qualification in an appropriate field, such experience may be discipline specific or have a service area focus.
