Pinstripe Recruitment is proud to partner with a global leader in advanced automation solutions to find a highly capable Resident Automation Technician. Based at a cutting-edge logistics facility in Melbourne, this role is essential to maintaining operational excellence in one of Australia’s most advanced automated sites.
The Role:As the onsite automation expert, you'll be responsible for:
- Performing corrective maintenance and troubleshooting on state-of-the-art equipment
- Conducting scheduled preventative maintenance to ensure system reliability
- Reporting on system performance, faults, and corrective actions
- Building strong, trust-based relationships with site personnel
- Providing on-the-job training and promoting system improvements
- Managing spare parts and organizing tools and resources on-site
Technical Skills:
- Qualifications in electromechanics or industrial automation
- Experience in electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
- Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces (with training)
- Experience with Siemens, Beckhoff, Rockwell, or Allen Bradley PLCs (advantageous)
Soft Skills:
- Proactive, self-starting approach
- Strong problem-solving under pressure
- Excellent communication and fluent English
- Eagerness to learn and grow in a tech-forward environment
Essential Requirements:
- UEE30820 Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician
- A-grade Electrical Licence
- Full Australian working rights
- Valid driver's licence and access to a vehicle
