Join QIC as the Manager of People Operations & Systems on a 13-month contract, where you will be responsible for delivering high-quality operational and transactional services to our stakeholders and potential employees. You will oversee the People Connect and Systems teams, utilising Oracle HCM Cloud technology to enhance and streamline service delivery.
In this role, you will lead and manage operational HR services across QIC, ensuring consistent service delivery, compliance, and governance. You will act as the escalation point for routine activities, risk management, and compliance, aligning People Operations processes with business needs. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the delivery of our shared services team, quarterly Oracle system releases, QIC’s global mobility program, and optimising business processes and system enhancements.
You will collaborate closely with key internal stakeholders across Finance, IT, and P&C teams to implement system changes, improve processes, and deliver effective solutions. As a leader, you will foster a collaborative and high-performance environment, coaching and developing your team to ensure their continued growth and success. Additionally, you will drive governance and risk management activities, manage P&C’s Business Recovery Plan, and oversee audit obligations, ensuring data security and compliance across all HR operations.
About You
We are seeking a highly experienced senior HR operations leader to drive excellence in service delivery within a complex commercial environment. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing operational HR teams, optimising HRIS systems, and ensuring efficient, high-volume service desk operations. With a focus on operational excellence, you will streamline processes, implement frameworks, and lead a high-performing team to deliver exceptional service.
Additional Experience:
- Senior HR operations management in finance or professional services.
- Proven experience managing service desks and high transaction volumes.
- Expertise in optimising HRIS systems and managing master data.
- Strong understanding of workflows, work queues, and self-service portals.
- Experience in building operational frameworks, including service delivery KPIs and procedures.
- Knowledge of employment law and applying internal policies.
- Tertiary qualifications in HR or related fields.
- Leadership experience in developing high-performing HR teams.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Familiarity with Continuous Improvement methodologies like Lean or Six Sigma.
