About the Role
We are embarking on an ERP transformation journey to SAP BTP and S/4HANA, and we’re looking for a passionate SAP Developer to be part of this groundbreaking adventure! As a trusted name behind brands specifically rebel, BCF, Supercheap Auto, and Macpac, we're not just keeping up with the future of retail—we're shaping it through cutting-edge digital innovation and customer-centric solutions.
Reporting to the Functional and Development Manager, you will be an integral member of a cross-functional product team, collaborating with Business Analysts, Functional Analysts, and Solutions Architects to build scalable, maintainable, and high-performing solutions in SAP.
In this role, you will be a key contributor to our SAP S/4HANA and BTP roadmap. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Designing and building enterprise-grade applications aligned with SRG’s technology roadmap
- Developing new SAP features and maintaining existing systems
- Building responsive Fiori UI5 appsand OData Gateway services
- Writing clean, efficient ABAP code and working across SAP SD and HR modules
- Contributing to CI/CD improvement initiatives and modern DevOps practices
- Performing peer code reviews and incorporating feedback
- Contributing to knowledge sharing through focus groups and tech talks
This role offers the flexibility to be based anywhere across Australia – work from the location that suits you best! Alternatively, if you prefer an office environment, we have offices in Strathpine (Brisbane) and Rhodes (Sydney) ready for you!
About you
We are looking for someone who brings more than just technical skills—you bring a mindset of curiosity, ownership, and continuous improvement. You thrive in collaborative environments, are driven by customer impact, and have a passion for modern SAP development.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- At least 5 years of Core ABAP development experience
- At least 4 years in Fiori UI5 app development
- At least 4 years in developing OData Gateway services
- Experience with SAP BTP, CAP, and RAP (highly desirable)
- Sound knowledge of SAP SD and HR modules
- Experience using Rev-Trac, Git, Jira, and Confluence
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Agile and DevOps mindsets with a passion for automation and efficiency
