About the role Yarra Ranges Council is seeking a skilled and strategic Corporate Planning & Performance Coordinator to lead our Corporate Planning and Performance team.In this leadership role, you will shape the strategic direction of Council. You’ll lead the implementation and monitoring of the four-year Council Plan, coordinate the development of the Annual Report, and oversee corporate performance evaluation processes.
This role embeds a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and evidence-based decision-making across Council. This includes managing key projects such as survey research, data analysis, and evaluation initiatives that inform strategic planning and community engagement.
This is an exciting opportunity to shape how we plan, measure and communicate our impact—ensuring our priorities are aligned and community-focused.This is a full-time permanent position (38 hours per week)This is a Band 7 role with a salary range rate between $107,314 and $115,776 per annum, plus superannuation.Support work-life balance with a monthly rostered day off and hybrid working arrangements.20 weeks paid primary caregiver leave (6 weeks for secondary caregivers) plus other generous leave options such as family planning and menstrual and menopause leave.
Experience and skills we’re looking forProven experience leading the development, implementation, and monitoring of strategic plans and reporting frameworks (e.g. Council Plan, Annual Report).Strong capability in corporate performance evaluation, including setting KPIs, managing reporting systems, and enabling data-driven decision-making.Demonstrated experience in survey research, community engagement analysis, and evaluation projects, with the ability to present insights clearly and persuasively.Strong leadership and team management skills, with a focus on building high-performing, collaborative teams.Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across the organisation.If you have some but not all these skills or experience, we still encourage you to apply.
