The Role
Roebourne DHS is looking for a confident caring individual to work with our secondary students and support their learning journeys with direction from the teacher. The successful applicant will ideally have exceptional skills in counselling students on issues impacting their education.
As a Mainstream Education Assistant, you should be organised and able to use initiative to assist with the preparation and maintenance of the learning environment by maintaining equipment, materials and resources, for use in classes. To be successful in this role you should possess strong people skills and the capacity to relate to staff, students and parents. The successful applicant should also be highly collaborative and willing to share their skills and expertise.
We are seeking an enthusiastic team member who ideally shows initiative in adapting tasks to meet student needs, who continually reflect on their practice and who are open to being observed and receiving feedback to guide their professional growth. You will contribute advice and expertise; collaborating with staff to support and monitor student progress.
