Reporting to the Project Manager/SSE, you will play a key role in the site senior leadership team, have excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate and influence your team and key stakeholders. You will lead health, safety and training practices, procedures, and policies in order to create a safe environment that aligns with the company values.
In this role you will be responsible for:
Developing, implementing, and monitoring health and safety strategies to enable business priorities and a safe workplace culture.Managing implementation and compliance of health and safety systems.Engaging with key stakeholders and internal groups to respond to demands and identify areas for continuous improvement.Supporting your direct reports in the areas of Training, Emergency response, Safety and Health and Injury Management.
Requirements for the role include:
Previous experience working in a senior operations role associated with a medium to large size mining business is highly regarded.Qualifications in Health and Occupational Hygiene or related discipline.Demonstrated leadership and a track record of delivering improvement initiatives.Desirable additional qualifications include: Diploma of Frontline Manager, Certificate in Rehabilitation coordination, workplace training and assessment or Health and Safety Auditing.
