About the role Yarra Ranges Council is seeking an IT Technical Support Officer to join our Information Technology team. This role provides technical and systems support to over 850 business unit users across a Wide Area Network (WAN) operating environment. The support encompasses all software, hardware, and smart devices, primarily within Windows 11, Office 365, and Android environments.Key Responsibilities:Provide timely and high-quality client support for over 850 users.Manage and support software, hardware, and smart devices.Respond to and resolve first-level IT requests according to established procedures.Maintain agreed service level responses with a strong customer-focused approach.
Support work-life balance with:Your choice of fortnightly or monthly rostered day off.Hybrid working arrangements.20 weeks paid primary caregiver leave (6 weeks for secondary caregivers) plus other generous leave options such as menstrual and menopause leave and cultural and ceremonial leave.
This is a full-time permanent position (38 hours per week), with a salary from $78,146 per annum, plus superannuation.
Experience and skills we’re looking forTertiary qualification in an IT related field or extensive relevant experience.Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate with employees at all levels.High proficiency in Windows 11, Office 365 and Android environments.Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.High levels of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.The ability to work independently and within a team.If you have some but not all these skills or experience, we still encourage you to apply.
