MSI Australia operates a network of 10 clinics, a national telemedicine service providing comprehensive termination of pregnancy, vasectomy services from 25 locations and national family planning support.
The role:
We are looking for a full time Associate Nurse Unit Manager to join our Midland clinic working 76 hours per fortnight. Part time may be considered.
Position Title: Associate Nurse Unit Manager
Department: MSI Australia, Midland Clinic
Location: Perth, Midland Clinic
Reports to: Nurse Unit Manager
Hours per week: 1 FTE, 76 hours per fortnight. Part Time may be considered.
Duration: Permanent, full time. Part time may be considered.
Your responsibilities:
- Provide leadership in all clinical areas by ensuring high quality and empathetic nursing care to patients are in line with internal policies and procedures and best practice to ensure the best patient experience possible is achieved
- Supporting the NUM to manage clinic operations to ensure governance and compliance regulations are met, and a high level of patient care is provided across the clinic
- Supporting the NUM to monitor team effectiveness and development that results in peak performance, high engagement levels, continuous improvement and the achievements of targets relating to clinic revenue and patient care
What we need:
- A pro-choice advocate
- Bachelor of Nursing and current AHPRA registration
- 3 years or more relevant clinical experience in an acute setting
- Previous day surgery and recovery experience
- Previous experience in sexual & reproductive health
- Team leader experience in a healthcare service delivery environment
- Knowledge of National Accreditation Standards and ACORN standards
- Ability to assist with staffing requirements and rostering
- Understand the importance of quality processes
- Willingness to learn with a non-judgmental attitude
- Exceptional interpersonal, leadership and communication skills and ability to actively encourage a positive team culture including provision of excellent customer service
- Experience of achieving high standards with a focus on continuous improvement
- Strong initiative and problem-solving skills

- Ultrasound scanning skills
- Phlebotomy competency
- CSSD Certificate
- Family Planning Certificate or Midwifery qualification
