An excellent opportunity is available for a Manager, Change Communications to join the Communications and Marketing department at Australia’s pre-eminent biomedical research institute.

About the position

WEHI is going through a period of organisational change and transformation. To support this exciting body of work a communications change specialist is required to ensure a strategic, responsive and effective approach to change communications. In addition to developing and overseeing change communications activity, this role will champion the shared role leaders and other stakeholders play in supporting and delivering change communications.

The role will:

  • Develop, implement, monitor and evaluate change communications activity

  • Provide strategic communications advice to the respective change management teams

  • Collaborate with diverse projects and teams to help ensure a strong and aligned narrative across key change programs

Selection Criteria
Personal qualities:

  • Self-motivated and agile.

  • Able to create a sense of collaboration and shared direction amongst disparate and diverse teams or stakeholders.

  • Outcomes focused with an ability to coordinate multiple initiatives simultaneously and maintain attention to detail.

  • Degree in relevant field preferred combined with significant relevant experience.

  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to confidently engage with senior executives and change advocates

Knowledge and Skills:

  • 10+ years industry experience in a relevant communications or engagement role.

  • Experience of working and influencing within complex organisational structures.

  • Strong strategic planning capability, with the ability to mine data to identify actionable insights.

  • Demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality, exercise judgement and initiative to identify and address challenges.

Terms of appointment

This position is available as a 6-month contract in a full time capacity.

Salary is Professional Services Employee (PSE) Level 8 ($114,659 - $124,104).Up to 17% superannuation and very attractive salary packaging options are available.
